A bridge is a way of replacing missing teeth. A bridge can be made of
porcelain fused to gold or all-porcelain materials. Usually the teeth on either
side of the missing tooth have to be reduced or “prepared” to receive the
porcelain. Replacing a tooth with a permanent bridge is more aggressive than
an implant, but in cases where the lack of bone does not allow placement
of a dental implant, a bridge is a good solution for missing teeth.
